The main types of holidays we provide are Working and also Learning Holidays.
But really we are incredibly flexible and can organise anything for you wish. Just drop us an e-mail or give us a call or even better drop in for a chat and we can discuss your requirements and give you an idea of what is possible and potential costs.
For instance you could do a Working Holiday without Lunch and B and B from as little as £40.00 per day which includes a minimum of two hours riding each day.

Working holidays
On a Working Holiday you are guaranteed the equivalent of 2 hours riding each day and are required to work on the yard for a few hours a day or more if you wish. This Holiday is ideal as a taster for those wondering about a career in the horse industry or about horse ownership.
We ask you to consider what you want to achieve while with us and to let us know before hand and we will do our best to put a program together that will meet your objectives. There are lots of additional resources at the centre to help wth any study including Books, Manuals, CD’s, DVD’s, Pony Club teaching materials and of course direct Internet Access.
A packed lunch can be provided each day from your bed and breakfast if you ask.
Additional free Riding may be available depending on yard and other riding activites. Additional riding instrutions can also be booked in addition to the two hours per day that we guarnetee as a minimum..
For our fully inclusive Working Holiday prices the accommodation is based on a non-ensuite 2 star equivalent Bed and Breakfast (evening meals not included) however a higher standard of accommodation can be requested and a supplement paid for the difference, please enquite for further details. Before reading on, if hard work and early mornings are not your cup of tea, a working holiday may not suit, however, for those of you who don’t mind then this programme is a must.
For those of you who simply wish to work with horses we are running a limited number of working holidays here at our centre. This is a rare and truly fantastic opportunity for you to experience the hands on running of a riding school and stable, and to see some of the behind the scenes work that the general public don’t see.
During your five days here you will work with us and undertake many tasks, including but not limited to the following:
- Stable management
- Bed preparation & feeding
- Schooling horses
- Breaking horses
- Lungeing
- Cleaning tack
- Grooming
- Tacking up
- Escorting novice riders
- Turning out
- Horse care
The above are just a few examples of what may face you when you arrive, oh, and before we forget, as part of your package you will get a minimum of one hours riding or instruction per day!
Working holidays here at our centre are much sought after, people from all over the World have attended the week long experience, as a result, availability of these working holidays is limited and booking is required – The ultimate experience for those who love horses!
On the week long holiday it may be possible to do some of the ABRS tests. The only additional charge is the cost of the certificate at GBP# 3.00 each. If you need training for tests you realy need to do a Learning Holiday to cover the cost of instruction.
Learning holidays
On a Learning Holiday you are guarenteed the equivalent of 2 hours instruction each day and are not obliged to work on the yard although this is advised to help you with practical aspects of Stable Management. Instruction can be riding or theory or even carriage driving depending on your preference.
We can provide cerificates from the ABRS to cover any Learning Outcomes satisfactorly completed during your stay with us. More details on the ABRS website: ABRS Progressive Riding Tests
